Emergencies 112 recieved numerous calls yesterday, Monday October 5, from residents who noted their windows, doors and blinds vibrating as the Spanish air force carried out test exercises as part of the Tactical Leaderships Programme.
These exercises include some plane breaking the sound barrier making a noise that sounds like an explosion or thunder.
In Calasparra a severe thunder storm coincided with the last manoeuvres shortly after 5.30pm. It made for a noisy afternoon and evening as the thunder and lightening continued for a couple of hours after the exercises finished.
Unfortunately, according to information from the Murcia region, the manoeuvres by the air force are going to continue every afternoon until October 8.
