A minute´s silence for Covid-19 victims was held all over Spain today, the first day of official mourning for the victims of the epidemic.
The Mayoress of Calasparra, Teresa Garcia, led the local demonstration of grief at 12 midday when a minute´s silence was respected outside the Town Hall.
Political representatives, local councilors, the local police and members of the municipal services joined residents of Calasparra in a sign of respect for those who have died during the epidemic.
All the flags on the facade of the Town Hall are flying at half-mast and will continue at half-mast for the full 10 days of official mourning, which began at midnight.
