A FABULOUS NIGHT OF FLAMENCO

One of Spain´s greatest flamenco stars, with her entourage of eight, graced the stage in Calasparra on Saturday to revive the art of an Andalusian Christmas.
Born in Granada, Marina Heredia, is the wife of the businessman, Pedro Chicote, who currently the Bull Ring in Calasparra.
“My husband always has Calasparra on the table at home,” said Marina who chose Calasparra for the only regional concert on her tour.
The theme of the evening was the revival of Christmas music from Andalusia, and in particular Granada, which, she says, is in danger of being forgotten.
Accompanied  by three female singers, palms, percussion and an extraordinary Flamenco guitarist, the star of the night delighted the audience with traditional Flamenco sounds from the heart of her Native city.
There was poetry and the art of Flamenco dancing from her special guest, Curro Albaicin and a bolero, without mikes, with dancing spots from most members of the troupe, to round off a splendid evening.
A wonderful Christmas gift which was delightfully received by a receptive Calasparra audience.
