Temperatures will begin to drop this afternoon and Thursday and Saturday will be the coolest day of the month thanks to a mass of Polar air.
This is the prediction of the Met Office which advises that temperatures will drop by an average of seven degrees making the end of June and the beginning of July feel more like May.
The cold air has already affected high areas such as the Sierra Espuña, Campo de San Juan and the North West of Murcia but is not expected to affect the rest of the region until tomorrow when thermometers are expected to hover over 36 degrees.
Tonight, Wednesday, it should feel cooler already, around 24 degrees. By Friday night temperatures should be around 20 degrees and just over 30 degrees during the day.
Saturday will be the coolest day as temperatures should not rise above 29 degrees.
The cool temperatures are expected to last through Sunday but, make the most of it folks because by Wednesday normal service will be resumed: sweltering again!!
