Emergency services closed the motorway at the Sanctuary exit in Calasparra yesterday evening in order to remove the burned out carcass of the lorry which caught fire at around midday.
Our photo shows the emergency services clearing the site of the incident and the fire damage.
The fire was extinguished rapidly after the driver managed to separate his load of burning hay from the cab.
