Some 13.5 litres of rain per square metre fell in Calasparra last Tuesday, breaking months of drought and threatening the traditional meeting of the two statues in the Plaza de la Corredera.
The religious brotherhoods decided to wait until the rain stopped before continuing with the procession from St Peter´s Church but decided to hold the traditional meeting of Ecce Homo and the Dolorosa in the church square instead of the Plaza de la Corredera.
