Calasparra has been declared a “catastrophy zone” in an unaniminous vote at the full Town Hall Council Meeting following freezing temperatures on February 16 which threaten the early fruit crops and almonds.
Local politicans declared their concern and support for the agricultural sector where thousands of jobs are under threat and the sector faces a loss of almost 90% of the early fruit crop.
