Calasparra marked the International Day Against Domestic Violence this week by lighting candles for every victim and reraching out to pupils in local schools to raise awareness.
The Head of the local Department of Equality, Mari Carmen López Alba, also read a manifesto and there were other appropriate readings.
Amongst other events a march against domestic violence was included in the municipal organisedfwalking calendar.
