The Social Work Project at the Caixa Bank has donated 7,000€ to the Town Hall for social costs and school text for the coming year.
The Director of Caixa Calasparra, Santos Pereira, gave the cheque to the Mayor of Calasparra, José Vélez, and the Head of Social Services, Antonio Moreno, today, Tuesday.
“This 7.000 euros donated by the Caixa Bank, together with funds from the Town Hall, will help to alleviate the precarious situation of some families in the municipal area,” said the Mayor. He emphasised some of the money would go to the Book Bank for school text books for the new academic year.
