TAKE CARE OUT THERE IN THE SUN!!

The Department of Health has issued a warning to stay out of the suyn in the afternoons and early evenings as tempratures in the region are expected to remain in the 40´s for at least another week.
It is 30 years since the region suffered such a long a heatwave in July and readers are advised to be patient and sensible in the sun.
As always the advice is to drink plenty of wáter; stay out of the sun between midday and 5pm; and take precautions during the rest of the day.
Wear loose, light clothing, a hat and sunglasses to aoid complications such as cataracts, melanomas and heat stroke, and stay in cool areas.
Keep your house cool by lowering the blinds and closing the windows during the hottest hours and use fans or air conditioning.
Try not to walk outside during the heat of the day and, if you must, dress appropriately and take a bottle of water with you.
Keep pets in the shade and hose your dogs down regularly with cold water.
