The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for strong winds of up to 70 kph in the Altiplano, Noroeste and the Vega del Segura areas of the Murcia region, which includes Calasparra.
The winds, which started in the early hours of Sunday morning, are likely to persist until midnight on Tuesday.
