It doesn´t matter how much you love someone caring for long term sick or disabled family members takes its toll. A short break is an invaluable but impossible luxury for most carers but now the local Red Cross wants to change that!!
The organisation has begun a campaign to provide respite care to long term carers, called “Respiro Familiar,” and is appealing for volunteers who are prepared to give some of their time to help others to join the local volunteer force.
Respite care gives full time carers a short break, a little personal time or some quality time with other members of the family.
Contact the local Red Cross at its headquarters, next to the Guardia Civil headquarters, or in the office in the OAPs Club.
