New rights for bus passengers are introduced under a new regional regulation including free travel for under fours and no obligation for adults accompanying small children to fold pushchairs.
From now children under four do not need a ticket unless they occupy a seat and harassed parents trying to fold pushchairs before getting on the bus are liberated of this onerous obligation. The child may remain in the pushchair throughout the journey.
When bus services are cancelled, under the new regulation, customers are entitled to a full refund.
Buses must have access for passengers in wheelchairs and passengers with foldable bicycles may use bus services.
Under the new regulation bus companies are required to provide passengers with correct information on timetables and frequency of services.
There are sanctions for bus companies which do not comply with this regulation.
