Alberto Garre, the President of the regional government of Murcia, visited Calasparra this week as part of his tour of the region.
During his meeting with the Mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro, local emploement was the main theme.
The Mayor of Calasparra has already applied to the regional government for an employment project for the most vulnerable people in the society: disabled people, young people and unemployed people of more than 45 years old. He has also asked to reactivate the Plans for Works and Services funded as a local cooperative.
The Mayor also showed the President the Sports Pavillion which has a running track but still lacks changing rooms and a viewing terrace and the local library which has no disabled access.
The President of the regional government assured the Mayor that an Employment Plan with finance and new proposals was part of the government´s future plans.
