The instalaltion of a biomass energy system in the OAPs Resience in Calasparra will reduce CO2 emissions and give savings of up to 15% on fuel bills.
The new system was inaugurated yesterday by the Director General of Industry, Energy and Mines of Murcia, Pedro Jiménez, the Mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro, the President of the charity ONCE, Teresa Lajarin, the Advisory Delegate of Personalia, the company which runs the residence, and the head of the energy company, Inercia, Godofredo Caballero.
The Mayor of Calasparra took advantage of the ceremony to announce an important project using renewable energy for Calasparra in the future which would provide an economic stimulus for Calasparra.
