The Town Hall has produced a pocket calendar of the dates when rubbish will not be collected. The calendars, which include national and regional holidays as well as fiesta dates, are available from any municipal office including the Town Hall and the Youth Centre.
The calendar is important because residents may not dispose of rubbish in communal bins on these days.
The local authority urges residents to “keep Calasparra and its surroundings clear of litter” and dispose of the household rubbish responsibly, without causing a nuisance for neighbours living near the communal bins.
The guidelines include:
Do not dispose of domestic rubbish in communal bins before 9pm at night (in force all year but particularly important in the summer).
Close the lid of the communal bin after use.
Rubbish should be in closed bags without leakages.
Recycle in coloured recycling bins, the new mobile eco park or the eco park near the Chapel of Rest.
