The State Met Office predicts a cold blast for the holiday weekend as Spain gears up for the last fiesta before Christmas.
Friday is the Day of the Constitution and many shops and businesses will take a long weekend. However, the weather will not be on their side!!
The Met Office says a cold snap will begin on Friday and last until Monday bringing low temperatures , clouds and the possibility of rain.
This week it will feel warmer with temperatures during the day of around 18 degrees and on Thursday the sun will return to bring minimums up to 6 degrees. But it will all be over by Friday when winter returns with a vengeance.
Minimums will be zero or below and there will be snow at heights of 1,000 metres above sea level. Rain is predicted in the region for Sunday:
