The fastest bulls of the fiesta, from El Cubo stockbreeder, took the gold medal on Sunday after completing the 923 metre course in just one minute and 43 seconds.
The run broke all records for encierros in Calasparra and was swift and clean with no incidents or injuries despite there being more runners than any other day.
The bulls were so fast they left runners and “pastores” (shepherds) far behind as they made their way to the bull ring.
