Tomorrow is a national fiesta, The Fiesta of Work, traditionally celebrated on May 1 in Spain and most of Europe.
Trade unions have called for a day of protest against the cuts and unemployment which reached more than 6million this week. The national percentage of unemployed people in Spain is now 27%, a figure the national government claim will not drop during the last two years of its administration.
A national day of protest has been called by the main trade unions and thousands of people are expected to travel to Murcia to march against central government policies which the unions claim are increasing unemployment and reducing workers´ rights.
