The Brotherhood of the local patron saints has announced the winner of the Agricultural Prize for 2012 as the Regulator Councilor of the DO Arroz Calasparra, Rafael Navarro Hervás.
The jury took into account his indefatigable efforts to promote Calasparra rice in the world as well as his knowledge, humility, desire to learn and his scrupulous history in agriculture.
The prize will be presented during the Harvest Festival Mass on Saturday October 27 at 8pm in the Saints Church.
