The September fiestas in Calasparra began with a bang at midday yesterday, Sunday, when the Mayor of Calasparra fired the starter´s pistol from the balcony of the Town Hall to the delight of a crowded Plaza de la Corredera.
Sunday was a day for the youth of the town as youngsters ran with the bulls of Mauricio Soler Escobar at 10am and the little ones ran with toy bull chariots.
Last night the Association Band of Music of Calasparra took part in the XXIII Certamen of music bands in Cine Rosales after playing in the streets of the town.
