The Yellow Alert for torrential rain has been revised to an Orange Alert for the North West region of Murcia, that includes Calasparra.
The warning runs from 2pm to midnight and up to 30 ml of rain per square metre is expected every hour accompanied by storms and strong gusts of wind.
All activities in the open air have been suspended and all parks, gardens and the cemetery are closed.
Recommendations
Remove any object from terraces, balconies or outside areas that may be dragged away by water or gust of wind.
Avoid driving unless absolutely necessary.
Never cross flooded areas, ramblas or areas where water flows, by foot or in a vehicle
Keep informed of changes in weather conditions through official channels
