An Orange Weather Warning for torrential rain of up to 30ml per square metre per hour in the North West region of Murcia, that includes Calasparra, has been issued for today, Thursday September 17, by AEMET, the Met Office.
The warning runs from 3am thi morning to 12 midday.
All outside activities have been suspended and parks, gardens and cemetries have been closed.
Recommendations of the Civil Protection:
Secure any objects that may be displaced by water.
Avoid unnecessary travel during moments of intense rainfall.
Don´t cross flooded areas or places where water flows freely by car or by foot.
