The 28th International Folklore Festival of Calasparra, on Wednesday September 2, has special guest groups from Mexico and Guinea Bissau.
This festival has been organised by Calasparra Town Hall since the 90’s and has transformed Calasparra in an attractive place for cultures to meet. During one night Calasparra becomes the centre of peace, tolerance, diversity, integration and popular cultures.
The festival includes a parade, folklore animations, music recitals and the performance of the participating groups.
For this 28th edition the international guest groups are the cultural group, Netos de Bandim, from Guinea-Bisáu, and the Dance Company From the Superior Institute of Artistic Education, “Calmecac”, from Zacatecas (México).
Joining them will be the Cultural Association Folklore Rondalla of Calasparra,who will be the hosts for the evening.
The festival will be held on Wednesday September 2. The parade will be at 10pm and the festival will follow in Cine Rosales.
Admission is free of charge.
