A security has been installed camera on the bridge over the river Segura, outside the Municipal Canoe School and above the steps, to protect residents and property, according to Calasparra Town Hall.
An information notice has been posted alongside the camera.

In the past a rope has been tied to the bridge and used to swing from the bridge into the river. This activity is considered extemely dangerous and the rope has been removed on several occasions.
Lately, there has also been a substantial increase in the amount of litter left on the steps by the river and the surrounding area by the lake.
These may be two reasons for the video vigilance installed by Calasparra Town Hall.
