The Met Office, AEMET, has issued an Orange Weather Warning for storms with hail and temperatures of 30C over the next two days in the North West region of Murcia, that includes Calasparra.
The warning for storms and high temneratures runs from 1pm today, Thursday July 23 to 9pm and from 1pm to 9pm on Friday July 24. Some 15ml of rain is predicted per hour and possibly hail.
