Calasparra has observed a minuteś silence to for the victims of the tragedy in Los Gallardos, Almeria.
The fire has claimed at least 12 fatalities, there are many victims with serious burns and numerous people reported missing.
The fatalities are mostly foreign nationals: from the UK, Belgium and France although one Spanish national has also died.
It was first reported at 5pm on July 9 in the town of Los Gallardos. Some 1,500 people have been evacuated from Bédar, Almocáizar and Alfai. Many homes and urbanisations have been affected by the fire that has been fanned by high winds and high temperatures. It has already destroyed 16,300 acres.
According to official sources the fire was probably caused by a fallen electricity cable.
The emergency number for family and friends is 677 904 624. This number is to report missing people or seek information about family members of friends.
The latest information is that four of the fatalities were UK residents.
