The ABMC Concert to celebrate the beginning of summer will be held in memory of recent deceased Juan Montiel
The concert, on Sunday June 28, by the Association Band of Music of Calasparra, in memory of a colleague of many years, will be played by the Junior Section and the Title Band under the direction of David García Morenilla and Juan Párraga Marsilla.
The concert starts at 9.30pm in the Cine Rosales and everyone is invited to celebrate the life, the memory and the musical legacy of Juan Montiel.
This week Calasparra paid homage to Juan Montiel by renaming the Pedreras Primary School.
At the full council meeting of Calasparra Town Hall it was announced that the primary school where Juan Montiel taught for 38 years will carry his name CEIP Juan Montiel – Las Pedreras.
