CALASPARRA RECOVERS THE SPIRIT OF ANTIQUE MUSIC

Calasparra will recover the spirit of the Festival of Antique Music «Villa de Calasparra» that brings national and international groups and creates a loyal community around antique music through with two events.
These musical events unite music and patrimony bringing together Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque sounds
The first concert, “Travesías de una canción: Susana y la Missa ‘Susanne un jour’”, on Saturday June 13 ar 8.30pm in St Peter’s Church, reunites Capella Prolationum and Ensemble La Danserye in a vocal‑instrumental programme that recreates the sounds of antique cathedral chapels.
The second part with eight singers and four instruments converses with the acoustics of the church to offer an experience close to the original spirit of the works.
The second event on Sunday June 14 at 8pm in the Municipal Auditorium presents a preview of the disc “Danserye x Danserye” of the Ensemble La Danserye.
The programme revolves around the dance collection that Tilman Susato published in Amberes in 1551, known as pavans, gallarda and rounds, through an historic interpretation with five musicians and two dancers in a repertoire from the Renaisance.
