This week the Consejo de Gobierno (Government Committee) has conceded the Gold Medal of the Murcia Region (Medalla de Oro de la Región de Murcia), one of the highest recognitions in the gift of the regional executive, to DOP Calasparra Rice.
Calasparra Town Hall celebrates this important award on the 40th Anniverary of the Denomination of Origin, with more than 400 years of cultivation and effort by generations of rice farmers, mills and families.
The award well be presented on Junce 9 during the instituiional act of the Day of the Region that will take place in La Union this year.
