The cost of travelling on Spain´s toll motorways rose by 7.5% this week as the central Government withdrew the state subsidy for the concessionaries.
Hard hit motorists face another 3% rise in tolls in September when the new rise in IVA comes into effect.
The Government has justified the withdrawal of the 7% subsidy on the equivalent fall in revenue from the tolls.
