Local police have recovered a bike, worth 2,000 euros, stolen from a garage, and arrested the alleged thief.
It was on Sunday evening the Local Police received a report from a resident that a valuable bicycle and various tools had been stolen from their garage.
Officers immediately set up road blocks on the two main access roads to Calasparra in orer to avoid the thief escaping.
It was at one of these road blocks that officers surprised the culprit, who abandoned the bicycle and a back pack containing the tools and escaped across the countryside.
Although officers were unable to arrest the suspect he was identified and all the stolen goods were recovered and restored to their owner.

On Monday the suspest was arrested, charged with robbery with force and appeared before magistrates.
