A fire was reported on the slopes of the monte near to the Sanctuary de la Vera Cruz in Caravaca yesterday afternoon.
The area affected was 2000 square metres of the lower slopes with adult pine trees and bushes.
No damage to nearby houses was reported.
The emergency and fire services reacted rapidly to control the fire and avoid it spreading.
