The residents of Calasparra turned out on mass this week to protest and to demand that the regional government provide more medical staff for the Emergency Department in Calasparra.
Emergencies in Calasparra currently has just one doctor plus nursing staff.
Calasparra Town Hall has long been demanding that the department should be staffed over 24 hours and with at least two doctors. The demands have fallen on deaf ears over the years at the regional government so the residents took to the streets to protest.
