The Director Gneral of the Environment has given permission for the burning of prunings and stubble in Calasparra from October to May, according to a report from the Head of the local Department of Environment.
Only in the case of bonfires set at less than 400 metres from forestry terrain (monte, rivers, ravines, dried river beds etc) is a favourable report and authorization from the Environmental Officers required.
The owner of the land in this situation must get in touch with the Centre for Forestry Coordination (CECOFOR) 24 hours in advance with their name, telephone number, «poligono and parcel» (on your catastral) and the days you need to set bonfires by phone: 968 17 75 00, or email at quemas.agrícolas@carm.es.
Permission will be given between Monday and Thursday between 11am and 2pm and for the first and third Saturday of each month.
