The PSOE Socialist party triumphed again in Calasparra when reidents voted in the EU elections yesterday with an impressive 43% of the vote.
The Murcia region now has three deputies in the European Parliament, the greatest regional presence ever.
The deputies are Nicolás Pascual de la Parte and Maravillas Abadía, Partido Popular and Marcos Ros, PSOE.
The Partido Popular won the elections in the region with 42.86% of the votes some 25,000 more than in the last EU elections five years ago.
Nationaly the Partido Popular won 22 seats and the PSOE 20.
