The new novel by Fulgencio Caballero, «Sietetiros,» (Seven Shots) will be officially presented by the author in the Municipal Auditorium on May 4 at 8pm.
The book narrates the story of a crime in 1921 which shocked a whole town. Francisco, the young son of the Mayor, killed a member of his family, one of the most influencial of the era, A crime of honour which carried a severe punishment as a product of resentment and revenge. A revision of the sentence 13 years later managed to restore the reputation of a good man who had acted in accordance with the values installed in him as a child.
As he was liberated, in midst of the darkness, was Remedios, a humble brunette of noble heart, who helps him to find the light at the end of the tunnel and lift the painful weight he has carried on his shoulders for all those years.
