The OCU is an independent non profit entity which protects the rights of consumers and aims for a better quality of life. To reach these goals it carries out exhaustive investigations, education for consumers and resolution of conflicts.
This latest investigation by the OCU recognises which are the best brands of rice avialable on the national market.
Calasparra rice comes out at the number one brand and is described as «a round grain, originating in Spain, especially suitable for the preparation of paella».
Second comes the «Fallera: «a brand of rice which demonstrates quality and versatility» and third the SOS brand: «a brand known for high quality rice.
