There will be a special act of presentation for the Mayoress of Calaasparra, Teresa Garcia, who will be standing as the PSOE (Socialist candidate) in the municipal elections.
The presentation will be in the Municipal Auditorium on Friday May 12 at 9pm.
Editors Note:
UK nationals who are resident do have a right to vote in the these elections and should have received a notification through the post to go and register at the Town Hall before January 12. However, if your notification arrived in March, as mine did, you would not have been able to register and thus lose your vote.
UK nationals do not have the right to vote in the regional elections which take place on the same day.
