Dogs Rescue, Calasparra, has rescued 17 abandoned puppies recently and reports that there is Canine Parvovirus and Coronavirus in the refuge centre which is currently under quarantine and unable to take any more animals.
A short time ago a litter of puppies was found abandoned in a box.
A litter of greyhound puppies was abandoned near the refuge.
Two more puppies were found abandoned.
In total the Refuge is currently caring for 17 new born puppies in danger of becoming ill: three of which have already been admitted and the others on medication.
All these puppies mean a lot of hard work for the staff and volunteers at the Refuge who are particularly worried about two highly infectious viruses: coronavirus and parvovirus, which could spread to the other pùppies.
Dogs Rescue desperately need donations to pay for medication and the care of the two puppies admitted.
