The contribution of local businesswomen has been officially recognised by the Town Hall as part of the celebrations around International Women’s Day.
Every year at this time the local administration pays tribute to a Calasparrian woman who has made a significant contribution to the town. However, this year the honour was awarded to 90 local business women.
The women received a diploma and a flower and the recognition of the town.
The Mayor of Calasparra, Jesus Navarro, referred to women in every walk of life as “creators of wealth.”
