The Platform for the Deence of Transport, which represents self employed lorry drivers and small businesses, has called a national strike on November 14 in protest against rising costs.
The Platform claims the Government has not complied with the principles agreed last March and has called on them to take urgent action to avoid the industrial action.
Although this is a national strike, if it goes ahead, it only involves a small sector of the transport industry. Large haulage firms and companies will not be affected.
