An enthusiastic audience attended the Showcooking demonstration, featuring Calasparra rice, in the La Plaza Emilio Pérez Piñero this weekend, with chef, Javier Ruiz Sevilla.
This young chef, who originates from Calasparra, is very experienced and forms part of the emerging generation which is the gastronomic future of Spain.
He cooked tradtional dishes such as rice with rabbit, snails, wild mushrooms and red peppers and rice with milk, coconut, honey and spices, which those attending were able to taste.
This event formed part of the II Gastronomic Days of Rice programme held in Calasparra this weekend.
