A major point of sale of illegal drugs has been dismantled as a result of a joint operation between the local police and Guardia Civil in Calasparra, Cehegin and Caravaca.
On May 17 local police from Calasparra and Guardia Civil, who were aware of frequent visits to the vicinity by two alleged drug dealers, stopped and searched car owned by the suspects and found a quantity of cocaine.
The home of the suspects, which was the point of sale in the Jardin del Convento in Cehegin, was searched and 200 doses of cocaine ready for distribution; 23 grams of “cristal” (Meta amphetamine); 50 doses of “speed” (amphetamine); 550 grams of marijuana, scales and a pistol were found.
Two Spanish nationals have been arrested, a man and a woman, residents of Cehegin, and charged with trafficking drugs.
They have appeared before magistrates in Caravaca.
