Calasparra Town Hall has signed a pioneering agreement with the regional Association Against Cance to promote “spaces without smoke”.
The aim of the “Spaces without Smoke” campaign is to encourage measures to reduce smoking by, amongst others, introducing a smoking ban in outdoor and indoor public spaces.
A special sign will be erected to inform the designation of a public space as a no smoking area.
The first garden in Calasparra where smoking is banned surrounds the Casa de la Cultura.
Signs banning smoking will be erected in all public gardens and parks in Calasparra as part of the agreement.
