Calasparrians have already donated so much emergency material for Ukraine that the regional Association of Ukrainians has called for a pause in donations.
“Calasparra has more than risen to the challenge of the crisis in Ukraine….and we are so grateul for all the donations and for the moral support,” said a spokesperson.
The Association has already sent to two van loads of materials and there is another waiting to go but for now their members need time to sort through the donations already accumulated and prepare them for delivery.
Now the Association is appealing for cash donations through Caritas, Red Cross, UNICEF and Faramundi.
