Anyone who has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 should apply for an appointment for an antigen test in the “Covid centre” of their area not at the local Medical Centre.
The saturation of local Medical Centres and the high transmission of Covid-19 in the region has obliged the Murcia Health Service to change their strategy in order to alleviate primary health facilities.
The new system for “close contacts” who need to be tested for the virus is called ‘Cita Soy contacto COVID-19′ (appointment I am contact Covid-19) and has its own in-box on the SMS web port for appointments. This service will begin from next Monday.
The result of the antigen test will be available on one of the digital platforms of the regional Servicios de Atencion Primaria (Primary Health Service) and a positive result will also be communicated directly to the person´s GP.
The Primary Health Emergency Departments in the region will be the sites for the “Covid points”. The appointment will be made at the site nearest to your medical centre.
