Sadly, a 81 year old man has died from Covid-19 in the region during the last 24 hours bringing the regional death toll to 1,743.
There were 68 new cases confirmed in the past 24 hours.
The percentage of contagions per head of population during the last 14 days has been 48.6 and during the last seven days, 21.7.
Restrictions in the region have been slightly relaxed as remaining seated at public events, such as concerts etc, is no longer obligatory.
It is now permitted to eat and drink at the bar but customers must remain seated.
Restrictions on opening times for nocturnal clubs etc have been lifted and dancing will be permitted but dancers must wear masks.
