At the weekend free guided tours were organised to see the prehistoric cave drawings in the Abrigos del Pozo to mark the 117th anniversary of their recognition as part of the national heritage. and the European Day of Prehistoric Cave Drawings.
Calasparra is one of 11 municipal areas to have the cave drawings have been recognised by UNESCO as part of the world heritage.
Calaspara is also part of the Walks of Prehistoric Arts of the European itinerary.
