Calasparra Town Hall is organising two guided tours of the Abrigos Del Pozo to mark the 117th anniversary of its international recognition and to celebrate the European Day of Cave Drawings on October 9.
The caves form part of the European Association of Prehistoric Art Trails in accordance with recent investigations that prehistoric art should date back 42,000 years.
Calasparra is fortunate to be one of 11 municipal areas to have prehistoric cave drawings which have been declared part of the world heritage by UNESCO.
